António Vieira Monteiro, chairman of the Board of Directors of Santander in Portugal, died a victim of infection by the new coronavirus, JN found out.
The 74-year-old businessman had been hospitalized for a few days in intensive care at the Curry Cabral hospital, in Lisbon, said the “Jornal Económico”, adding that Vieira Monteiro had been in quarantine since the beginning of March, following a trip abroad.
