Italian resident in Quarteira is the 7th case of Covid-19 in the Algarve

Yesterday there was another suspicion of a case in Quarteira that turned out to be negative

An Italian, resident in Quarteira, is the seventh case of a person infected with Covid-19 in the Algarve. The information was confirmed by Vítor Aleixo, mayor of Loulé, to Sul Informação. 

The Loulé mayor did not tell our newspaper the age of this man.

Yesterday, there was another suspicion of a second infected person in Quarteira, but Vítor Aleixo told the Sul Informação that the results "were negative".

Officially, the Algarve had, until yesterday, when the DGS bulletin was released, 6 known cases of people infected with the new coronavirus: 5 in Portimão and 1 in Albufeira, from a Canadian who was on vacation there.

This Saturday's daily bulletin from the Directorate-General of Health, which will update the number of cases, has not yet been released.
