Albufeira School participates in the Erasmus+ project “Water without Borders”

Algarvian students were welcomed by the families of their Slovak colleagues

Three teachers and five 11th grade students, from the Socioeconomic Sciences and Humanities classes of the Albufeira Basic and Secondary School, were in Slovakia, between 17 and 24 February, as part of the mobility of the Erasmus+ project entitled “Water without borders” ( Water without Borders).

During these days, activities were developed with the partners involved, namely Slovakia, Italy, Portugal and Turkey, «with water as a binding theme». “This must be seen as a scarce natural resource and indispensable for life on the planet. It has an incalculable economic, environmental and social value, fundamental to the survival of Man and the Earth's ecosystems», stresses the Albufeira Schools Group.

In this first trip, three teachers (Eurídice Vieira, Project coordinator, Maria José Leote and Daniel Vaqueiro) and five students (Dana Cantiu, Melissa Vilarinho, Justino Alves, Beatriz Freitas and Carolina Araújo) participated in this first trip.

During these days, students from the Algarve were welcomed in the city of Poprad, «in the home of families of Slovak students and were able to enjoy an unforgettable experience, getting to know a little more about the landscape, gastronomy, folklore and culture» of that country. .

This program will have even more mobility with students, namely Adana, in Turkey, and Santa Maria a Vico, Caserta, in Italy. Albufeira will also be responsible for welcoming teachers and students from partner countries in this project.
