Covid-19: CTT stores open but with reduced hours

Service in stores is done behind closed doors

The CTT stores will open on weekdays between 09:00 am and 13:30 pm, with the exception of those located in commercial spaces and airports, ensuring the provision of services, but mitigating the chances of contagion, it was announced.

"This change is aimed at protecting employees and customers, mitigating the chance of contagion, despite the recommendations of the Directorate-General for Health being followed", explained, in a statement, Correios.

However, in shopping centers and airports, the stores will operate according to the hours applicable in the space in question.

According to CTT, the stores at Aeroporto das Lajes, on Terceira island, in the Azores, at El Corte Inglês in Lisbon, at the Loja do Cidadão de Lisboa and at Odivelas will be closed.

The service in the stores is done behind closed doors “to minimize the presence of customers and to guarantee the distance” between each one, so only those who are being served can remain in the space.

A signaling tape will also be placed inside the store in order to maintain a safe distance between the employee and the customer.

In turn, CTT workers will be able to use masks, gloves and disinfectant gel.

At the post offices, “there may be changes in the opening or closing hours” by decision of the partners who provide this service, stressed CTT.
