Algarve Football Association suspends competitions «indefinitely»

The Football Association also closed its headquarters in Faro

The Algarve Football Association (AFA) has decided to suspend all competitions it organizes for an “indefinite period” due to the new coronavirus pandemic.

At first, the AFA had decided to cancel the competitions only until March 28, but now it has decided that this suspension is valid indefinitely. This measure affects the Senior District Football and Futsal Championships, as well as the training levels.

The Football Association also closed its headquarters in Faro.

"The services at the headquarters, which were operating under a reduced regime, will be closed for as long as the current situation lasts", justifies the AFA.

"In the event that it is necessary to resolve a situation in person, it can be arranged, by prior appointment," he adds.

“We hope that this less good phase can be quickly overcome. In the meantime, we advise that you scrupulously follow all the measures suggested by the authorities of our country», concludes the AFA communiqué.
