Loulé High School students went to Greece to learn more about the job market

All travel and accommodation expenses were financed by the Erasmus+ National Agency

Students Christopher Silva, Filipa Correia, Ivo Leal, Milene Ildefonso and Raquel Barros and teachers Lucília Pires, Luísa Sousa and Paulo Ribeiro, from Loulé Secondary School, were from 16 to 23 February in the city of Arta (Ambrácia) , Greece, under the project "Erasmus+ Skills for life and work in Europe" which aims to integrate young people into the labor market. 

The project, which has the participation of schools from Greece, Italy, Romania, Portugal and Turkey, has as its main objectives to understand the labor market, potential employers and the important aspects to be taken into account in job interviews with a view to insertion in the job market of students who complete the 12th year.

The main objectives of the workshops held at this meeting were to discover different job opportunities for each of the professions presented, create psychological profiles of students and conduct interviews with employers.

 

 

The mobility also allowed the visit to three leading companies in the area of ​​Arta, in order to better understand the reality of the labor market in this project's partner region.

Students from the different partner schools were accommodated in the homes of Greek students, in order to get to know their colleagues' daily lives and allow for greater immersion in the local culture.

They also had the opportunity to visit the egyon and monasteries of Meteora, a wine producer, a tourist resort in Metsovo in the interior of the country, and the capital Athens.
