The Dr. Francisco Fernandes Lopes School Group is carrying out, in February and March in all its educational establishments, an internal safety exercise (earthquake simulation) for the «creation of behavior and action routines in case of accident and prepare the school community for emergency situations”.
The internal exercises are attended by the Municipal Fire Brigade of Olhão, Municipal Civil Protection, School Health Team -UCC Olhar+, Security Forces – Escola Segura, General Direction of Schools of the Algarve, who, at the end, meet with the direction the Group and the Security Delegate, to assess the exercise.
In total, there are 2112 students, from pre-school to secondary education, teachers and non-teaching staff who test the internal emergency plan and put into practice the procedures to be adopted in a real emergency situation.
