Wines and confectionery from Lagos are shown in Lisbon “on a ride” by CVA

Câmara de Lagos will financially support the inclusion of local producers in a regional delegation

Lagos wines and sweets go to Lisbon, hitchhiking from the Algarve Wine Commission (CVA), to be shown during an action to promote the region's wines, scheduled for February 27, at the Espelho d'Água space, in Belém.

The Câmara de Lagos approved the attribution of financial support to the CVA for the presence of Lacobrigensian products at the fair, which, in addition to publicizing the commission's new image, aims to «increase the notoriety and raise awareness of the diversity of producers and wines from the region to the media and the HORECA channel».

«The Algarve region will be represented through the Algarve Wines, with dishes prepared by chefs Michelin-starred restaurants in the Algarve, entertainment and traditional musical entertainment, for the preparation and demonstration of typical gastronomic products of the region and also for the demonstration of traditional handicrafts.

The representatives of Lagos will be the wine producer “Monte do Além” and the confectioner Maria Eugénia Militão, “who will give a demonstration of the making of Doce Fino and the famous Dom Rodrigo de Lagos”.

«This is another opportunity to put into practice the principles that guided the municipality's membership of the Association of Portuguese Municipalities of Wine and to promote the appreciation of the municipality's endogenous products», according to the Câmara de Lagos.
