A 26-year-old man was arrested yesterday in Praia do Carvoeiro, on suspicion of drug trafficking, during a stop operation by the GNR.
According to the Territorial Command of Faro, "as part of a road operation, the military approached a vehicle carrying an individual referred to as a consumer of narcotic products."
During the inspection, the military at the Carvoeiro Post detected, "in the driver's possession, 26 doses of hashish, for which reason he was detained." In addition to the drug, they seized a precision scale and a mobile phone.
The detainee is being present at the Judicial Court of Portimão.
