The QRER cooperative, based in Querença, Loulé, is the first collective partner outside Spain of COOP57, a «cooperative of ethical and solidary financial services, created in 1995 in Catalonia, whose main objective is to contribute to the social transformation of the economy and of society'.
At the beginning of 2019, QRER was accepted as a partner entity of the Andalusian delegation, “being able to benefit from its support”, according to the Algarve cooperative.
Now, QRER integrates two structures of COOP57 Andalusia: the Technical Council, «internal structure responsible for evaluating applications for funding», and the Social Council, «which promotes activities, meetings and other initiatives to disseminate the basic foundations of COOP57, of the ethical banking and solidarity financing».
"This step represents an important moment for the activity and mission of QRER, which sees its role strengthened in the dynamization that it intends to print in low density territories and in the enhancement of rural space, actions that are also shared by COOP57", summarizes the QRER .
Since its creation, «COOP57 has been growing every year, being currently present in several provinces of Spain and bringing together thousands of partners, individual or collective. The projects it has been supporting, and which are chosen by the members themselves, are of a very different nature, but always with a strong ethical, sustainable, social, solidary, collaborative nature and strongly linked to society, local communities and seeking to preservation of natural and cultural values'.
