Portimão on the route of the traveling technology exhibition “Portugal+”

School community will be in force at the exhibition

The TIR truck of the traveling project “Portugal+”, between the 5th and 8th of February, can be visited at Alameda da República, in Portimão, presenting the technological exhibition that travels across the country to disseminate the various initiatives and activities of a cultural, educational and recreational nature. promoted by the Altice Portugal Foundation.

The objective of this project is to promote digital and technological knowledge, raising awareness, educating and training through the Foundation's programs and other pedagogical actions.

Given the educational interest of the initiative, the Municipality of Portimão invited the local school community, from the 1st cycle to secondary education, to visit the fair on the 5th, 6th and 7th, between 10:00 am and 17:00 pm, subject to prior registration through the services of the municipality.

The exhibition will be open to the population every day, with no age limit and free entry, making the Knowledge Mobile available, which in five windows displays small inspiring videos about some of the Altice Foundation's main projects: Khan Academy, Communicating in Security and Technologies of Accessibility.

 

Visitors can also use an accessible screen with interactive applications, in the format of quiz, which presents, in a creative way, some of the principles present in the “accessibility solutions” of the program.

There are also four interactive tables with a screen touch, for use by the platforms Khan Academy and Campus by Altice Foundation, in a virtual environment and with thematic scenography that refers to the universe of teaching and learning.

In addition, there is an animated and living wall, with illustrations that light up with projection and come to life to the touch, providing content from the Ideia Simples website, as well as a virtual gallery, which allows a guided tour of selected pieces from the art collection. Complements this interactive experience a muppy with the 3D mascot of a cartoonized sorcerer, with questions and answers from the Communicating Safely project, adapted to different teaching cycles and in artificial intelligence mode, to answer and give tips on questions asked by users.

A non-profit private entity with public utility status, the Altice Portugal Foundation develops projects and activities aimed at the community, having as priority areas education, art, culture, entrepreneurship and social intervention.
