The 21st edition of the “Memorial Carlos João” Volleyball Tournament will start on March 9th, in Faro, being open to all types of teams, amateurs and professionals, male and female.
The games will be held at the EB 2,3 Joaquim Magalhães School, in after-work hours, while the finals will take place at the Penha Municipal Pavilion, in Faro.
The test, which is a posthumous tribute to Physical Education teacher Carlos João Dias, is organized by the Municipality of Faro, in partnership with the Academic Association of the University of Algarve, through its Sport divisions.
The initiative, which runs until the 23rd of May, aims to promote interaction between participants, as well as to raise awareness and develop a taste for the sport.
Registration for the competition closes on March 5th and the draw will take place on the 7th.
