Almargem warns that listening to music can also reduce time in the shower

In a 10-minute bath, about 150 liters of water are used.

End the music…end the shower! What if you start timing your bath time with a song? The challenge is launched by Associação Almargem.

In a water saving awareness campaign, Almargem intends to raise awareness of the need to spend less time in the shower.

For example, in a 10-minute bath it takes about 150 liters of water…

In this first challenge, the song chosen is “She's a Maniac”, by Flashdance. «Every week we propose a new song with a shorter duration», concludes Almargem.

This initiative is part of a broader awareness campaign on saving, managing and reusing water.

«Drought and the lack of water in the Algarve are increasingly dominant issues today, and Almargem intends to get involved and contribute to reducing the waste of this resource, essential to life, and that we all, with special emphasis on the Algarve , we use and abuse it daily as if it were an inexhaustible resource».

This campaign aims to challenge civil society to adhere to proposals to save water, in the domestic sector, throughout the year 2020.

“Challenges that are intended to become daily habits will be launched, to relieve the pressure on the use of water resources, enhancing them”.

Every month, a special edition of a newsletter dedicated to this theme will be presented, including an opinion article written by guest authors, experts in various areas, contributing to a more informed and capable society to intervene in the decision-making process.
