The second Community Workshop of S. Pedro, an event where appliances and mechanical appliances can be repaired or furniture and antiques can be restored, takes place this Saturday, January 18, from 15:00 pm to 18:00 pm, at the São Pedro delegation of the União de Freguesias de Faro.
The repairs and restorations will have “the support of specialized personnel and in an informal and knowledge-sharing environment”, says this Parish Union.
Registration is free and can be made here or via e-mail [email protected] indicating the name of the participant and description of the object to be repaired.
The Community Workshop of São Pedro is a Circular Economy space that results from an approved application to the Environmental Fund program “Circular Economy in Parishes (JUNTAr+)”.
"The main challenge addressed is to raise awareness and train the population to repair and convert or integrate old objects into useful objects, reducing the use of new materials and energy to develop them, preserving and using resources more efficiently" , concludes the municipality.
