Teatro das Figuras hosts an opera cycle thinking "the youngest at home"

Until March, there will be one show per month

Opera shows for the "youngest at home" will take the stage at Teatro das Figuras, in Faro, on January 26th, February 22nd and March 29th.

In the cycle “Who has Faro for the opera?”, promoted by the company Ópera Isto, the shows “O Olho Esquerdo by Júlio Verne”, “Pica Pau Amarelo” and A Flute Mágica Vista da Lua” will be presented.

«These shows have something in common: they all take place in imaginary, colorful and never-before-seen places and, in many cases, people talk while singing. It's opera», describes the Teatro das Figuras.

«The cycle was designed, due to its diversity of languages, to open horizons for the smallest minds and beyond. In it, everyone is called to participate, in some way and everyone is challenged to understand in their own way the magic of music associated with words», he adds.

The day before each of the shows, Ópera Isto will take the opportunity to present three books by Mário João Alves.

On Saturday, January 25th, at 18:30 pm, the work “As Aventuras Extraordinárias de Júlio Winter” will be presented in the Foyer of Teatro das Figuras. On February 21st, at the same time, it will be the turn of the book “A Orquestra da Baleia” to be presented at FNAC Faro. On March 28, the work “Amilcar, Fixer of Búzios Calados” will be taken to the Foyer of the theater.
