The Portuguese stage of the European Laser Cup, which will bring together 179 sailors from different countries, from the age of 12, will be disputed in Portimão between tomorrow, January 31st and February 2nd.
In competition will be the Standard, Radial and 4.7 classes, disputed by European athletes from Israel, Belgium, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Belarus, Denmark, England, Ukraine, Sweden, Russia and Portugal, as well as sailors from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Netherlands Antilles.
The first of nine races is scheduled for 13:00 pm on Friday, while the last start will take place at 15:00 pm on Sunday, February 2nd.
According to the Portimão Chamber, which supports the competition, "the competition combines a social program that will allow participants to get to know the area where it takes place."
The event is organized by the Clube Naval de Portimão.
