Sporting and Mirandela won the Portuguese Table Tennis Cup played in Lagos

Portuguese Table Tennis Federation honored Fernando Bitoque and the Algarve Association of the sport

Sporting Clube de Portugal (men) and the Table Tennis Club of Mirandela (women) won the Cup of Portugal | Games Santa Casa, whose final stage was played in Lagos, this weekend of January 11th and 12th.

The Final Phase of the Portuguese Cup took place in the Pavilhão of Escola Secundária Júlio Dantas, in Lagos, with the participation of 16 male and 10 female teams.

The Inter Regional Teams Tournament took place at the same time, with the presence of the regional teams of cadets and juniors.

The Table Tennis Club of Lagos finished the Portuguese Cup in the group of the top 8.

On Friday, the 10th, and Sunday, the 12th, Clube de Ténis de Lagos won the 2nd Honor Division matches against CTM Barros, by 3-2, and Luso Serpense, by 4-1. The Algarve team thus maintained its unbeaten record in the competition, having already 2 points more than the 2nd ranked, despite having 1 game less.

If they maintain their good performance, CTM Lagos is on the right path to finish the race in the lead and thus rise to the 1st Division.

Fernando Bitoque, with the Career Award, and the Algarve Table Tennis Association were also honored, in Lagos, by the Portuguese Table Tennis Federation.
