The requalification work of the Municipal Road 520-2, which connects Santa Bárbara de Nexe to Estoi, has already begun, passing through the Mercado Abastecedor da Região de Faro (MARF). The contract costs around 370 thousand euros.
The intervention results from a contract signed on 1 October with Sociedade José de Sousa Barra & Filhos and has as its main objectives the repair of breaks in the pavement in specific areas, the paving of the path in bituminous concrete and the execution of concrete ditches for drainage of water, in addition to the cleaning of the berms and execution of speed-reducing humps raised in bituminous.
With a period of execution of 90 days, the work may cause constraints on motor vehicle traffic, for which the local authority requests the understanding of motorists and recommends respect for the posted signs and indications provided along the road.
