Fábio Bota is the new PSD/Loulé leader

There were also elections for the PSD District, with David Santos being reappointed as president

Fábio Bota is the new president of the PSD/Loulé, after the elections that took place this Saturday, January 11th.

The suffrage, which took place simultaneously with the elections for the party's president at national level and also for the District of Algarve, had a single list, headed by Fábio Bota.

For the new leader of the PSD/Loulé, this election serves as a starting point for a political project focused on the future.

"We want to be, for now, a constructive and differentiating opposition to the current socialist management of the municipality, so we will show that we would do it differently and better," he said, showing himself "pleasantly surprised to have with me so many people available to work, interested and committed to doing better for this council».

“This is the strength of the PSD”, he concluded, stressing that the fact of heading a single list to the social-democratic council structure “shows the current moment of unity within the party”.

"For this, the contribution of the JSD, with its vitality and irreverence, the Social Democratic Women of Loulé, the Social Democratic Workers, and the Nucleus of Quarteira is also important to this end," he explained.

With next year's Municipalities in mind, Fábio Bota promises to be "committed to a good result" for his party.

The objective, he argues, is that the «county regains a growth momentum that has been lost in recent years».

With a total of fifteen elements, another of the highlights of this new political commission goes to the two vice-presidents, Maria de Deus Domingos, considered a “historic” of the PSD/Loulé, and the young Bárbara do Amaral Correia, current president of JSD /Algarve.

Rui Cristina, former leader of the PSD/Loulé, is now at the head of the Section Assembly Bureau, with Miguel Madeira as vice-president and Elsa Pires as secretary.

As for the elections for the PSD District, David Santos was reappointed as president, in an electoral race in which he had no opponents.
