The UEFA U-16 Football Development Tournament, for men and women, takes place from 6 to 19 February at the Vila Real de Santo António Sports Complex.
The competition brings together teams from Portugal, Netherlands – Netherlands, Germany, France and Colombia. It is organized by the Dutch Football Federation and has the support of the Portuguese Football Federation and the VRSA City Council.
Taking into account the quality of the football played, the competition will attract, to Vila Real de Santo António, dozens of scouts from the main European clubs, which could mean, for young players, the possibility of joining, in the near future, the squads of big of football.
The men's tournament takes place on the 6th, 8th and 11th of February, while the women's tournament takes place on the 14th, 16th and 19th of February.
All participating teams will do an internship at the VRSA Sports Complex, between the 2nd and the 19th of February, where, in addition to the games, there are daily training sessions.
During this period, it is expected the presence of about two hundred and a half people, including players, technical staff and staff, who will be accommodated in hotels in the municipality.
One more year, these teams elected the Sports Complex to carry out sports internships, a sign of recognition of the quality and projection of this equipment, which has attracted events of media interest, dozens of internships for national and international teams and is accredited as a High Performance Center.
