Secretary of State highlights Loulé and Lagoa in reconciling personal and professional life

The “3 in Line” program was launched by the Government in December 2018

Rosa Monteiro, Secretary of State for Citizenship and Equality, highlighted, this Monday, 16 December, the role of the municipalities of Lagoa and Loulé in the implementation of the “3 in Line – Program for the Conciliation of Professional, Personal and Familiar”.

The official, who was speaking at the opening session of the seminar promoted by the Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR) of the Algarve, in Faro, underlined the fact that the Municipality of Lagoa and the municipal companies Infralobo and Loulé Concelho Global are already certified under the Portuguese standard NP 4552:2016, with the Municipality of Loulé in the final stage of the certification process, which should take place in the first weeks of 2020.

The 3 in Line Program was launched by the Government in December 2018 and aims to promote a greater balance between professional, personal and family life, as a condition for an effective equality between men and women, allowing the realization of free choices in all spheres of the life.

Rosa Monteiro expressed her satisfaction with the large number of institutions and companies that have joined the Pact for Conciliation in the meantime, surpassing all initial expectations, bringing together 58 central public administration bodies, public and private companies, municipalities, intermunicipal communities and educational institutions of which nine are already certified with the Portuguese Standard NP 4552:2016.

At the opening of the work, Sofia Duarte, from Bureau Veritas Portugal, presented the normative instrument that allows the implementation, maintenance and management of a Conciliation Management System, with a view to certifying reconciliation policies and practices by companies, municipalities , public bodies and other organizations, from the public and private sectors, with and without profit.

When sharing experiences and development perspectives in the Algarve, Sandra Generoso (Municipality of Lagoa), Marilyn Zacarias (Municipality of Loulé), David Pimentel (Loulé Municipality Global, EM) and Carlos Manso (Infralobo, EM), explained the processes assessment and design of local strategies, highlighting the difficulties experienced and the most emblematic measures of the implementation processes and the reactions of the leaders and employees of each entity.

The seminar was closed by Catarina Romão Gonçalves, Deputy Secretary General of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (SGPCM), as the coordinating body of the Pact for Conciliation, who challenged all public and private entities present to adhere to the Pact and implement measures of conciliation in their organizations.
