OrBlua puts the Algarve landscapes on disk

This will be the disc version of the soundtrack of a series of 16 documentaries about the Product Algarve brand

“Paisagens”, the new CD by the Algarvians OrBlua, the disc version of the soundtrack of a series of 16 documentaries about the Product Algarve brand, will be launched on Saturday, the 14th, at 16 pm, at the headquarters of Alfa – Associação de Photographers of the Algarve.

In 2015, the Algarve band was invited to soundtrack these films, directed by Vico Ughetto and Filipe Correia, and which «feature almost two hours of original music recorded with more than 50 instruments played by Carlos Norton, Inês Graça and Nuno Murta », according to the Orblua.

All the work was recorded and mixed in an artistic residency at LAC – Laboratório de Trabalhos Criativas, in Lagos.

Now, OrBlua have decided to “put the essentials of this work in disk format. Paisagens is the original soundtrack, remixed for record editing. An entirely instrumental album, with themes that reflect the Algarve landscape, through its products and customs».

In this new work, the band once again counts on the collaboration of Algarve artists, including Eduardo Pinto, «author of all the photographs on the CD, which reflect well the theme of the album: the Algarve landscape».

Eduardo Pinto will also be present at the release of the album, as well as directors Vico Ughetto and Filipe Correia. In this session, films from the documentary series, the making of the soundtrack and the slide show “No Interior do Algarve” by Eduardo Pinto. Admission is free.

Paisagens is edited by Fungo Azul, with the support of the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve.
