Palácio Gama Lobo will host a Christmas Showroom of the Loulé Criativo project until the 6th of January.
This is, according to Loulé, the «creative and original recreation of an intimate and welcoming space inspired by the Christmas spirit of fraternity, family union and conviviality, which is also a showcase for potential Christmas gifts».
This exhibition includes pieces developed by the artisans of the Workshop Network – Casa da Empreita, Oficina dos Caldeireiros, Oficina do Relojoeiro, Oficina do Barro and Oficina dos Cordofones – and by the resident designers at Loulé Design Lab, «disposed in creative environments that facilitate the choice of the ideal gift. These elements can be purchased on site'.
«The Showroom includes a Christmas table filled with ceramics, copper and natural fabrics that invite family dinners. The fireplace where the whole family gathers incorporates several spaces with suggestions for Christmas memories inspired by traditional materials such as cork, empreita, leather, copper, ceramics, felt, wool and details of local nature», described the municipality.
The Christmas tree, "decorated with personalized pieces in copper, brass and wood, recalls the magic of the gifts where the names of all who make up the Loulé Criativo family come together."
«Visitors will also be able to enjoy in this space the Christmas decorations of Palácio Gama Lobo, the palm crib made by the hands of the artisans of Casa da Empreita, the traditional Algarvian crib awarded with the 1st prize of the Christmas Crib Contest of the Municipality of Loulé , created by Sónia Mendez, a space alluding to the creative experiences of Loulé Criativo's network of partners, with suggestions for workshops and activities, or the Christmas floral arrangements by Flor de Lis and the artistic installation of stabilized plants by Verde Création, represent the contribution local economy”, concluded the Chamber of Loulé.
The Christmas Showroom is open to the public at the following hours: Monday to Friday, between 9:30 am and 17:00 pm, and on Saturdays, between 10:00 am and 13:00 pm. Admission is free.
