Greta Thunberg is scheduled to arrive in Lisbon on Tuesday

The Environment minister sent a welcome letter to environmental activist Greta Thunberg, in which she thanked her activism and said that Portugal is one of the European countries that suffers most from climate change.

"Welcome to Portugal, the first country in the world to commit to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050." Thus begins the letter, written in English, by João Pedro Matos Fernandes, who underlines that 54% of the country's electricity consumption already comes from renewable energy.
