Sickonce and Perigo Público begin to unveil a joint album

First singles will be revealed tomorrow

Sickonce and Perigo Público will release the video clips of the first two singles from their joint album tomorrow, the 15th, at 10:00 am.

Tomorrow, the songs “The Year of the Death of Amaru Shakur” and “Bênção” will be made known, as well as the respective videos, on the You Tube channel from the Algarve publisher Kimahera.

On the 22nd, the album will be released on digital platforms and, on the following day, the 23rd of November, there is a concert to present the album, at the Festival Super Bock em Stock, at the Cine Teatro Capitólio, in Lisbon.

On a date yet to be announced, "a special (physical) edition of the album will be unveiled."

«Porcelain is a project that is born from the fact that we conceive that every human being should be treated like the most delicate piece of porcelain. Each human being is, at its heart, a delicate piece of porcelain, able to resist in time, to preserve sound, but nevertheless it is still fragile, beautiful and delicate, just like each one of us», describe Rafale Correia and Élton Mota, who are Sickonce and Perigo Público, respectively.

The idea is to «provide a journey between the most diverse urban sounds, always with Hip-hop as a backdrop».

"Porcelain, more than just a musical project, is the culmination of a reforming vision of how all individuals who are somehow in a situation of social fragility, can and have the right to rise and live with dignity," they add .

In this work, the two artists challenge conventions from a musical point of view, but also "from a physical point of view".

«Physically, the album will be represented by tiles (15x15cm), unique pieces, created by the artist Inês Barracha, whose union will form a mural of around 80 porcelain tiles. Each tile will behave not only as a piece of art, but also represent the so common CD», they describe.

Each of the pieces is accompanied by a code that will take its owner to a website where all the information regarding the musical project is available: information on the artists, the album itself in audio, video, instrumental, acapella, lyrics and photograph formats.

The album has the seal of the independent Algarve publisher Kimahera.
