Project to promote the mental health of young people presented in Olhão

The program started in September this year and ends in August 2022

The MOJU – Youth Movement Association in Olhão – presents, next Wednesday, November 20th, the “SER Mental” project, between 14:00 and 17:30, at the José Mariano Gago Municipal Library.

SER Mental – Specialized Network Service for the Promotion of Mental Health in Childhood and Adolescence is an Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship Initiative (IIES) that aims to create a specialized intervention community service based on partnership work.

Its main objective is to prevent early risk factors and promote protective factors in mental health in childhood and adolescence in the municipality of Olhão.

This initiative is promoted by MOJU – Associação Movimento Juvenil em Olhão and is co-financed by Portugal Inovação Social, CRESC Algarve, Portugal 2020 and the European Social Fund, with five social investors: Municipality of Olhão, Union of Parishes of Moncarapacho-Fuseta, Parish of Olhão, Parish of Quelfes and Parish of Pechão.

The program started in September this year and ends in August 2022.

The initiative is aimed at young people between 13 and 21 years old, families with at least one child (up to 21 years old), students of the 3rd cycle of Basic Education and Secondary Education, teaching and non-teaching staff, technicians and/or other professionals from the community and civil society in general. It includes activities in four actions: BE Young, BE Family, BE Community & School and BE Digital.
