Parents, students and staff protest for better conditions in schools in Montenegro

For tomorrow, a national workers' strike is scheduled,

The Association of Parents and Guardians of the Group of Schools of Montenegro (Faro) as well as the students will join the workers' strike, scheduled for this Friday, November 28th, with a protest at the door of EB2,3, starting at 8:30 am.

Everyone will protest the lack of staff in this Grouping of Schools, a "problem that has been going on for many years and that directly affects not only non-teaching staff, but also our children," says the Parents' Association.

“It turns out that there are not enough employees to meet the daily needs of the various schools that make up our cluster. The working conditions of non-teaching staff have been degrading from year to year, with employees having to “deploy” into multiple functions, often for which they were not hired, or are not even fit», he adds. .

In this measure, the Association of Parents demands the creation, «already proclaimed by the City Council, but that has not yet “got off the paper”, of a staff pool to make up for the sporadic lack of personnel and situations of sick leave».

For tomorrow, moreover, a national strike of employees is scheduled, called by the National Federation of Workers' Unions in Public and Social Functions. One of the main claims is the current staff-to-student ratio – one to 48.
