There are 200 euros to fight domestic violence in the Algarve

CRESC Algarve 2020 managers launched an invitation to the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality

The Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG) was invited to submit an application to the European Union Funds of CRESC Algarve 2020, in the area of ​​protecting victims and preventing and combating domestic and gender violence.

The application must be submitted by the 7th of December 2019 and the available funding is two hundred thousand euros, 80% supported by funds from the European Social Fund (ESF).

According to the Algarve's Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR), the managers of the Operational Program launched an invitation to the CIG “Specific instruments for the protection of victims – tele-assistance system”, aimed at “strengthening and supporting the prevention and fight against violence gender/household'.

According to the Algarve's CCDR, “the investment priority is the fight against all forms of discrimination and the promotion of equal opportunities, aiming in concrete terms to support the use of innovative technological means that effectively guarantee the control of the measure. removal of the aggressor from the victim, and the safety of victims of domestic violence, namely, through tele-assistance systems».
