French technology opens center in Loulé and creates 80 jobs

Multinational presents itself as "world leader in digital transformation",

The company Atos is going to open a center in Loulé and intends to hire around 80 people by the end of next year to work there.

The intention of the multinational, which presents itself as the «world leader in digital transformation», was advanced by Jornal de Negócios, which talks about the creation of «a Local Delivery Center (LDC) in the Algarve whose main objective will be to bring to the national market a new offer of services that support and accelerate digital transformation, with professionals specialized in the development, implementation and management of digital solutions».

This is, at least, the guarantee given by the company, which speaks of the «great interest in hosting the LDC» shown by the Câmara de Loulé, without revealing the exact location of the future centre.

«For the first year (2020) a business growth of 25% is expected at national level, based on a gradual growth of the team throughout the year, with the objective of reaching around 80 new employees by the end of the year of 2020”, summarized the company.

Atos adds that «partnership protocols are already defined and in progress with the University of the Algarve, which will enable the creation of synergies for the research and participation of university resources with a technological basis».

«Atos will reinforce its presence in the Portuguese market, contributing to investment in the region and to retaining qualified labor. We believe that it will be a project of great social importance for the Algarve region, where we emphasize the great support provided by the Câmara de Loulé, which has proved invaluable since the beginning of the referred project», said, for his part, Octávio Oliveira, sales manager of Atos Portugal.
