Quarteira will enter 2020 to the sound of Aurea and lit by the traditional New Year's Eve fireworks.
The official New Year celebrations in the municipality of Loulé are once again concentrated in the Praça de Mar de Quarteira, with the Chamber betting on the renowned Portuguese singer to headline a poster that also features Deejay Rodriguez, a local artist, and DJ Riot, who will guarantee the animation well into the night.
The party starts at 21 pm, with a warmup, in charge of Deejay Rodriguez.
At 22 pm, Aurea takes to the stage «one of the most successful artists of a new generation of talents in the Portuguese music scene», according to Câmara de Loulé.
In addition to her career successes, the singer will bring to Quarteira songs from her latest work – “Confessions”-, the fourth record of Aurea's originals.
«These confessions, now materialized in lyrics and music, some literally, others more metaphorical, served as inspiration and were the starting point for the creation of this album. In this new work, Aurea assumes a change in sound aesthetics compared to previous works, visible from the first theme», considered Câmara de Loulé.
At midnight, the twelve chimes will be accompanied by a pyromusical show. At 00:15, musician, DJ and producer Riot, founder of Buraka Som Sistema, who visited Loulé in the last edition of the MED Festival takes the stage and returns to this county to provide «a journey without limits, designed for a wide audience with different tastes musicals'.
