Athlete Rui Estevão, from the Altura Martial Arts Club (CAMA), won 3rd place in the discipline of Ju-Jitsu at the World Martial Arts Games, which took place in Pisa (Italy), last week, and involved more than 60 countries in 6 disciplines.

Rui Estevão, who plays in the -65kg category, had already reached the top places in the European Championship in 2018.

The Altura Martial Arts Club, directed by Mestre Reinaldo Aquilino, has been operating since 2007 and has won several national and international podiums, «results that reward the effort, commitment and commitment of the approximately 40 athletes who train there daily», according to the Chamber of Castro Marim.

This week CAMA is going to Spain to receive an award for the cooperation between the Club, the Portuguese Federation of Ju-Jitsu, the Royal Spanish Karate Foundation and the Spanish Ministry of Defense, in the scope of police and military techniques and hand-to-hand combat .
