The Tivoli Marina Vilamoura Algarve Resort, in the category of Best for Meetings or Conferences, and Vila Joya Home, Restaurant & Spa, in the category of Best Dining Experience, are two of the nine Portuguese hotels nominated for the Condé Nast Johansens 2020 Awards for Excellence, which will be presented at The May Fair Hotel in London, on the 4th of November.
This year, the Awards have 19 categories in which nine Portuguese hotels participate in eight of them: Best for Meetings or Conferences, Best Newcomer or Back on the Scene Hotel, Best Luxury Value, Best Dining Experience, Best Countryside Hotel or Lodge, Best Urban Hotel and Readers' Award.
Portuguese luxury hotel establishments have a much higher presence than in previous years, reaching the figure of nine hotels nominated in eight categories of the Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence. “This is undoubtedly positive news for the luxury sector in Portugal and which we hope to be well recognized at the time of the awards ceremony on the 4th of November”, emphasizes Condé Nast Johansens.
This year, there is an important new feature in the awards: a new category, “Best Accessible Bedroom (and Bathroom)”, which evaluates the efforts of the hotels to offer the best welcome and stay to all types of travellers.
In addition, the 2020 edition of the Condé Nast Johansens guide will be announced, a world first, comments Charlotte Evans, Group Publishing Director of the Condé Nast Johansens publishing group.
During the Awards for Excellence ceremony, in addition to announcing the Awards for the United Kingdom, the 2020 edition of the Condé Nast Johansens guide will also be presented, which will be the most special guide published to date.
