Bienal brings Rão Kyao to Spanish and Moroccan musicians for a concert in Loulé

Tickets cost 7 euros

Rão Kyao joins Spanish and Moroccan musicians for an unprecedented concert, as part of the Iberian Biennial of Cultural Heritage, next Saturday, October 12th, at 21 pm, at the Cine-Teatro Louletano.

In this national premiere show, the public will be “invited to experience everything that unites Portugal, Spain and Morocco, in a Mediterranean musical triangulation made up of multiple bridges and civilizational influences”, says Câmara de Loulé.

Rão Kyao's guests (bamboo flutes and voice) will be Toni Lago Pinto (classical guitar and braguesa viola) and Renato Silva Júnior (accordion and keyboards), from Portugal, Miri Abdellah (violin and rebab) and Barmaki Mohamed (traditional Arab percussions ), from Morocco, and Miguel Angel Ramos Ortiz (classical guitar), from Spain.

Rão Kyao has participated on several occasions in collaborations and recordings imbued with this multicultural spirit, examples of which are the CD “Delírios Ibéricos” with a group of musicians, the Ketama, linked to Flamenco, and with Moroccan musicians on the CD “Fado Virado a Nascente ”, both of his authorship.

Added to the show (order) “O meu Coração é Arab” presented in Silves in 2015 in partnership with musicians Custódio Castelo, Paulo Ribeiro, Eduardo Ramos and Baltazar Molina, just to name a few more formats that, in essence, are dear to the Portuguese musician.

Having recently traveled to Morocco, Rão Kyao invited two musicians from Casablanca who, due to their great quality and appetite for this type of collaboration, seemed to be indicative of a performance that is based, on the one hand, on well-structured Portuguese themes. and songs associated with the tradition of the three countries and, on the other, that appeals to the spontaneous and creative sense of all the musicians involved through various moments of individual and collective improvisation.

The concert lasts approximately 75 minutes and is aimed at people over 6 years old.

Tickets cost 7 euros, a value that drops to 5 euros for those over 65 and under 30 years of age. The Cine-Teatro Friend Card is applicable to this event.
