12 people were rescued this Monday, October 7th, from the interior of the crocodile cave, in the area of Carvoeiro, in the municipality of Lagoa, after a breakdown in the engine of a maritime tourist vessel.
The rescue involved, in addition to the means of the Maritime Authority, a rescue motorcycle from the Instituto de Socorros a Náufragos on Benagil beach and a maritime-tourist vessel belonging to a company.
According to AMN, after the rescue of 10 passengers and two crew "there was no need for medical assistance to the rescued people."
