«Three of the most talented cyclists of the new generation» participate in the Granfondo de Silves

Emanuel Duarte, David Livramento and Rafael Lourenço are from the Algarve

Cyclists Emanuel Duarte (Voltage Portugal white jersey winner), Rafael Lourenço and David Livramento will participate in the 2nd Granfondo Municipality of Silves/ADECT, which is scheduled for 15 September, starting at 9:30 am, from the Silves Municipal Swimming Pools.

The Municipality of Silves emphasizes that these are «three of the most talented cyclists of the new generation».

Emanuel Duarte, leader of the Youth classification of the 81st Bicycle Tour of Portugal, from the Algarve (born in Portimão) runs for LA Alumínos/LA Sport, having obtained 17th place in the general classification of this event.

Rafael Lourenço, a native of São Bartolomeu de Messines, will also be present at this competition taking place in his native municipality. The young runner stood out in the 45th Volta ao Algarve 2019 as one of the best Portuguese in the competition, as he took 10th place in the Youth category, being one of the four young Portuguese who finished among the 10 best and 82nd place overall, among a total of 168 runners. Run through UD Oliveirense-InOutbuild.

Finally, David Livramento, Sporting/Tavira athlete, will also be present. The athlete, who started his cycling career at the age of 11, turned professional at the age of 21 and reveals great qualities as a climber.

This year, the 2nd Granfondo Municipality of Silves/ADECT will have two route proposals: Mediofondo (85 km) and Granfondo (120 km), with "more complex characteristics but also more dynamic", explains the municipality.

Registration costs 22,50 euros and must be made until September 11th through the website of the Prozis.

Trophies will be awarded to the top three classifieds in the under-23 men's, men's elite, men's master 30, men's master 40, men's master 50, women's, master women's and paracycling categories.

The 2nd Granfondo Municipality of Silves/ADECT has the support of the GNR of Silves, Fire Brigade of São Bartolomeu de Messines, BikeSul, Algarve Delegation of the Portuguese Cycling Federation, Moto Clube do Algoz, Infrastructures of Portugal and Prozis.
