The Chamber of Olhão has already started delivering tablets and school material to schools in the municipality.
The initiative started this Thursday, September 5, at the EB2,3 Dr. António João Eusébio and EB2,3 Dr. João Lúcio schools, with the delivery of tablets, school material kits and exercise books by the City Council of Olhão in the county's schools.
This happens simultaneously with the delivery of the manuals offered by the Ministry of Education.
This year, the Caíque Bom Sucesso project begins to be implemented, which will provide all students in the municipality with a tablet, «an indispensable tool for the modernization of teaching methods and pedagogical resources available to students», in the opinion of the municipality.
About 1300 students from the 4th, 7th and 10th grades receive their tablets this year. The approximately 2.000 children who will attend the 1st cycle will also be offered a kit of teaching material that includes, among others, notebooks, pencils, pens or colored sheets, which they will use during the school year.
The 1500 students who will attend the 1st, 2nd and 3rd years of the 1st Cycle will also obtain, through the Municipality, their exercise books, with school manuals being offered by the Ministry of Education.
Delivery takes place until 11 September, always from 11:00 to 19:00. It is mandatory to present the identification document of the student and the guardian.
