Silves debates preventing and fighting corruption

Tertúlia will feature the president of the Transparency and Integrity association

The Silves Library will host the conference “Prevention and Fight against Corruption – Legislative Elections What Measures?” on Thursday, the 5th, at 18 pm.

The initiative, with free entry, will be attended by João Paulo Batalha, president of TIAC – Transparency and Integrity, and will be moderated by Maxime Sousa Bispo, councilor of the Silves City Council.

The session will have as its central theme the upcoming legislative elections, with special focus on priorities for preventing and combating corruption in Portugal», framed the Chamber of Silves.

Transparency and Integrity is an independent, non-profit, public utility civic association, the Portuguese representative of Transparency International, a global anti-corruption network present in over 100 countries.

The main purpose of this association is “to promote democratic legality and good governance, fighting corruption and promoting the values ​​of transparency, integrity and responsibility in public opinion, citizens and public and private institutions and companies”.
