Lagoa will have a victim support office

Office will be open on Monday and Friday mornings

The Portuguese Association for Victim Support will start providing assistance in Lagoa, as of Friday, the 20th.

The sessions will take place in an office that will be installed in the Chamber's Social Action unit, in Largo do Município, which will open from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, on Mondays and Fridays.

The creation of this service is the result of a protocol signed in April between APAV and the Câmara de Lagoa.

With this new response, the municipality intends to guarantee the «implementation, maintenance and consolidation of the response to protect and combat violence against women and domestic violence (VMVD) in the municipality».

This is achieved, according to the Câmara de Lagoa, with «action in a network, multidisciplinary, intersectorial and in an intersectional perspective of intervention and problematic».
