the delivery period of tablets, school material kits and exercise notebooks, in schools in the municipality of Olhão, ended this Wednesday, 11 September, the same day the manuals offered by the Ministry of Education were delivered.
According to the Municipality of Olhão, "this will be the start-up school year of the Caique Bom Sucesso project, a pioneer in the country, which, once completed, in three years' time, will provide all students from the 4th to the 12th year of the municipality with a tablet, an indispensable tool for the modernization of teaching methods and pedagogical resources available to students».
The 4th grade teachers also received, this Wednesday, their tablet, in a symbolic ceremony that took place at Escola EB2,3 José Carlos da Maia. «All teachers will receive training, which will allow them to make the best use of this tool placed at the service of the school community by the municipality», explains the Chamber of Olhão.
The municipality explains that «all tablets come equipped with the Virtual School platform, by Porto Editora, as well as the respective school manuals, which will allow, in addition to the relief of the weight of students' backpacks, for teachers to have another digital, interactive teaching tool that opens the door to collaborative work and knowledge sharing».
About 1300 students from the 4th, 7th and 10th grades received their tablets this year.
About 2000 children, who will attend the 1st Cycle, were offered a kit of teaching material that includes notebooks, pencils, pens or colored sheets, which they will use during the school year.
The 1500 students who will attend the 1st, 2nd and 3rd years of the 1st Cycle obtained, through the Municipality, their exercise books, with the school manuals being offered by the Ministry of Education.
