The Algarve's Luís Conceição, born in Martim Longo (Alcoutim), was elected women's futsal coach of the year at the Gala Quinas de Ouro, promoted by the Portuguese Football Federation, this Monday, 2 September, at the Carlos Lopes Pavilion, in Lisbon.
The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF), the National Football Coaches Association (ANTF) and the Professional Football Players Union (SJPF) came together again to organize the 2019 Quinas de Ouro Gala.
Luís Conceição is the current national women's futsal selector and won, with the team of quinas, the gold medal in the Youth Olympic Games.
In addition, he also led Portugal to the final of the European Women's Futsal Championship, which they lost to Spain 4-0.
The Algarve Football Association has already gone public to address «warm congratulations to Luís Conceição for this distinction at the Gala Quinas de Ouro».
