The association Algarve Evolution, which brings together several technology companies in the Algarve, will be officially presented next Thursday, September 12, at 18 pm, at the Lab Terrace, on the terrace of the Centro Ciência Viva do Algarve, in Faro. At this time, the project will also be presented. of the Algarve Tech Hub.
Algarve Evolution is a private non-profit association, formed about a year ago, which brings together dozens of companies from the Algarve in the area of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and whose mission «is to help develop and strengthen the innovation ecosystem Algarve Tech Hub, favoring the reception and cooperation between companies that enhance this sector in the region».
The presentation will be attended by representatives of the 29 member companies, as well as the entities that make up the Algarve Tech Hub.
Algarve Evolution was born «from the will and cohesion of several Algarve companies that want to make a contribution so that the Algarve becomes a destination “smart” of reference”, highlights the association, which considers that, “with the current situation, it is essential for the Algarve to diversify its economic fabric, transforming itself into a more developed, resilient and economically sustainable region, every day, every day. the year".
For Algarve Evolution, «it is essential to invest in pedagogical innovation and in the creation and exchange of knowledge, whether between companies or between academia and the business world, in order to attract investment and know-how foreigners, retain young talent and encourage the increase of qualified jobs in the region».
The association believes that, «soon, the development of skills in the technological sector and the sharing of opportunities and good practices with companies, students and professionals in the ICT areas, will be a reality materialized in the various trainings, services and events that Algarve Evolution intends to carry out and offer to its members».
Algarve Evolution is also an integral part of the Algarve Systems and Technology Partnership (ASTP), which brings together various public entities such as the University of Algarve (UAlg), ANJE, Docapesca and Câmaras de Faro, Loulé and Olhão.
