Vila do Bispo also already has a Support Office for Victims of Domestic Violence

There is a specialized technician once a week and a permanent telephone number

The municipality of Vila do Bispo has already operated, since last July, a Victim Support Office (GAVA).

With this space operating in the municipal facilities, on Rua José Cardoso, in Vila do Bispo, the county now has specialized service responses to victims of violence against women and domestic violence.

The new service structure has the presence of a specialized technician once a week. For emergency situations, GAVA has a telephone service 7 days a week and 24 hours a day.

For the functioning of this office, coordinated by TAIPA - Cooperative Organization for Integrated Development, the Municipal Council of Vila do Bispo annually makes available an amount of five thousand euros.

The creation of this space comes within the scope of the protocol for the Territorialization of the National Support Network for Victims of Domestic Violence, which was signed last April by the City Council in a ceremony presided over by the Minister of the Presidency and of Administrative Modernization that took place at Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR), in Faro.
