Tourism UP and Taste UP will stir up tourism entrepreneurship in Lagos

Opportunities and Trends in Tourism, Gastronomic Tourism and Wine Tourism and Entrepreneurship and Value Proposition are the themes to be addressed

The Tourism UP and Taste UP acceleration programs will be presented in Lagos, with a workshop at the Cultural Centre, scheduled for the 11th of October, between 15pm and 17pm. Registration is now open.

In addition to the presentation, there will be training sessions on Opportunities and Trends in Tourism, Gastronomic Tourism and Wine Tourism and Entrepreneurship and Value Proposition.

The project is developed by the Creative Territories, in partnership with Turismo de Portugal, APTACE – Portuguese Association for Culinary and Economy Tourism and GEN - Global Entrepreneurship Network.

Tourism UP is an acceleration program in the Tourism sector and aims to support business development in this area, boosting innovation and the creation of entrepreneurial networks.

The Taste UP program is focused on encouraging projects in the sectors of Gastronomic Tourism and Wine Tourism, with special attention to creativity and tourism experience in these fields.

Both programs start with a roadshow which will pass through 50 territories, one of them Lagos, in which a training workshop and dissemination of its functioning will be promoted.

The 36 projects selected in these workshops will have the opportunity to move on to the second phase: two intensive days of bootcamps with access to mentoring and training on October 25th and 26th and November 22nd and 23rd.

The programs will end with a final public presentation, on December 5th, where the winning projects will be announced.

The two programs promoted by the Creative Territories, Turismo de Portugal, APTACE and GEN will award the project classified in 1st place with 5000 euros in monetary value and 500 euros to be applied in SEO (Search Engine Optimization), 1000 euros for 2nd place and 500 euros for the 3rd.
