Porto B imposes first defeat on Farense in the II League

Farense only scored in the added time period

Farense lost this morning, by 1-3, against FC Porto B, at Estádio de São Luís, and registered their first defeat in this edition of the II League.

Porto B took the lead in the 41st minute. After a cross, Farense defender Luís Rocha missed the intercept and Rodrigo Valente opened the scoring.

Farense tried to react to the disadvantage, still saw a goal disallowed in the 56th minute, but, in the 71st minute, it was the northern team that extended the score.

Fábio Vieira, in converting a much-contested penalty, made it 2-0.

At 88′, another goal for Porto. Afonso Sousa appeared isolated, dodged Hugo Marques and fired into the empty goal.

The best that Farense managed to do was reduce the disadvantage, already in the period of discounts. Angelo crossed and Patrick, with his head, made the final 1-3.

With this result, the team from the capital of the Algarve has six points in three matches and, as a condition, occupies the third position in the league table.
