There will also be visits for adults, guided by Luísa Ricardo, on the 21st of August, at 10 am.

This exhibition is open until November 9th and can be visited from Tuesday to Saturday, from 9:15 am to 16:30 pm.

Artur Pastor (1922-1999) began his work in photography in Tavira in 1943, when he was serving in the military, with images of the tuna “copejo”.

In the 40's, 50's and 60's, he produced a unique body of images, of great quality, vast and complete, about agriculture in Portugal. Between 1942 and 1970, he also photographed activities related to fishing on the Algarve coast, Nazaré, Sesimbra and Apulia.

He published the books “Nazaré” in 1958 and “Algarve” in 1965, both with his images and texts. He was a photographer for the Ministry of Agriculture and creator of the Photographic Archive of this institution, for which he worked all his life.
