Not even a circus will be missing at the Seafood Festival

Festival starts on Friday

Circus entertainment, gastronomic demonstrations and DJ music will be added to seafood and a "luxury musical poster", in another edition of the Seafood Festival, which starts on Friday and lasts until August 14th, in the garden Olhanense fisherman, in the riverside area of Olhão.

As usual, the Olhão Chamber bet heavily on the musical poster, which in 2019 features Matias Damásio and Aurea (9 August), HMB (10), Killer Queen (11), Paula Fernandes (12), Ludmilla (13) and Resistance (14).

But, according to the Chamber of Olhão, “there is much more to enjoy”. From the outset, seafood from Ria Formosa, and not only, «cooked as only the people of Olhão know», but also entertainment circuses throughout the venue before the main shows and show cookings in the bandstand.

Throughout the night, the music will be guaranteed by DJ Christian F and Wilson Honrado, who perform on the first and last nights of the Festival.

Tickets for the 9th, 10th and 11th of August cost 7 euros and for the 12th, 13th and 14th of August are 9 euros. There are also weekly tickets, which cost 42 euros for adults and 21 euros for children.

Children up to six years old do not pay admission, as long as they are accompanied by an adult, and from seven to 12 years old pay half a ticket. Tickets can be purchased at the venue's ticket offices on the same day, or in advance, through Ticketline and participating stores.

In the Festival's grounds, there is, as has been happening in recent years, a Kids Club, where the youngest can play and have fun while their parents enjoy the best seafood and shellfish available in the various existing restaurants or enjoy concerts.

The Jardim Pescador Olhanense also hosts a stand promoting the Folar de Olhão, in the year this typical sweet is one of the finalists in the Algarve for the 7 Wonders of Portugal Sweets.

At Coreto, every day there will be a chef (Real or Vila Monte hotels) who «will prepare the most delicious seafood in a more sophisticated way». Half of the revenue made here will go to a Private Social Solidarity Institution in the municipality of Olhão.
