Loulé Criativo suggests an experience that combines vintage with gastronomy

Quinta da Tôr is the place chosen for another action based on the tradition of harvesting

Spending a day at Quinta da Tôr's grape harvest, in an experience that combines agricultural tradition with gastronomic aspects, is the proposal of Loulé Criativo for the 7th and 14th of September

The activity, held on a farm located near the village of Tôr, in the heart of the Loulé municipality, invites tourists and other interested parties to participate in the harvest and wine production, «using the traditional method of treading the grapes», but also for having lunch and tasting wines produced on this farm, as well as visiting the winery.

«On a day of socializing in this magnificent property, with emblematic views over the vineyards, it will also be possible to take a refreshing dip in the pool, in the company of excellent wines, vinified, matured and bottled on the property», added the Câmara de Loulé, who energizes the Creative Loulé.

Within the scope of the same programme, "workshops in which the secrets of local cuisine and healthy and conscientious eating, based on the Mediterranean diet, will be well-presented" will be promoted next month.

On the 7th, at Loulé Coreto Hostel, the proposal is “Massa Madre: the chemistry of bread”, which will address the traditional baking process, exploring local ingredients.

The fig, one of the emblematic fruits of the dryland orchard, is used in numerous delicacies. Ana Figueiras, partner of Loulé Criativo, will share her homemade recipes inspired by this fruit.

On the 7th, the participant will be able to learn how to make small fig cheeses and, on the 21st, the well-known stuffed figs.
