The Algarve cellist Eduardo Moreira Gomes, only 8 years old, won the International Premium Paços Contest, which took place in Paços de Brandão, from the 5th to the 14th of July.
The young musician is a student of Mikhail Shumov, soloist of the Southern Classical Orchestra and belongs to the School Band of the Philharmonic Society Artistas de Minerva de Loulé.
Eduardo won at age 9 in this competition that brings together interpreters from various parts of Portugal and other countries, including Russia, England, Belgium and China.
Paços Premium is a contest that is now in its 13th edition and has a jury composed of national and foreign musicians with signed credits.
