A 32-year-old man was arrested by the GNR after being caught, in the act, beating his partner, in the middle of a public road, in the municipality of Silves.
At the time of the attacks, “two witnesses stopped by the victim and helped her to get into her vehicle to travel to the Silves Territorial Post. The victim was immediately assisted by the military and medical assistance activated,” says the GNR.
Then, together with the Intervention Detachment of Faro, the military began steps to intercept the suspect, which happened moments later, in the vicinity of the place of aggression.
Coercion measures are not yet known.
