Seven skaters from the Algarve represent Portugal at the World Roller Games

Seven speed skaters from the Algarve, five from the Grupo Desportivo de Lagoa and two from the Roller de Lagos, will represent Portugal at the World Roller Games, to be held in Barcelona, ​​between the 7th and 14th of July.

Manuel Martins and Mariana Neto, from Grupo Desportivo de Lagoa, will participate in the junior class. In the seniors, Andreia Canha, Carolina Ferreira and Duarte Souza, from GD Lagoa, and Diogo Marreiros and Miguel Bravo, from Roller de Lagos, are among those selected to represent Portugal.

Athletes from the Grupo Desportivo de Lagoa, before the match, were at the City Hall where they presented their greetings to the executive.

On this visit, Luís Encarnação, vice president of the municipality, greeted the delegation, praised the work done in skating in Lagoa, expressed the certainty that the municipality of Lagoa will be well represented and wished everyone the best of individual and collective luck, stressing that , in the sporting aspect, «the important thing is to participate, creating conditions for better future athletes, but also for future men and women of this country».
